ENSEMBLE 360

This set of photographs offers a glimpse of life behind the scenes as the musicians of Ensemble 360 prepare for performance in May 2019, pre-Covid, and May 2024, when concert life was back in full swing.  My privileged access to the rehearsal process reveals a world that is rarely seen by audiences.  I hope to provide a deeper understanding of the work that goes into creating a concert.  

I adopted a documentary style and as the musicians know me well I became invisble to them. I was able to move around, trying not to disturb their concentration or lighter moments. All images are unposed and therefore could be regarded as snapshots.  Also included in this collection are a few concert images. I hope that my respect for these fine musicians and my own love of music is what remains.
