Olive and Alina are cousins (two of our grand-children) who, although living at opposite ends of the country and only meeting up once in a while, seem to have developed quite a bond.
It's a friendship that persists with the aid of technology but on one of those rare occasions , once in a while, when they spent a couple of days together, the appeared enjoyably inseparable.
Olive and Alina were both eleven at this time, the tricky age of not being and certainly not regarding themselves as 'young children', yet they are not quite teenagers, which is what they want to be.
